We are happy to ratify the tournament score and ranking as final. No change to placement and scores. Our Div B champion is Skyridge MS team Aron. Our Div C champion is Bothell HS team Blue.
Skyridge MS, Evergreen MS (B) and Bothell HS (C) will represent Washington at the National tournament in Lincoln, Nebraska!
Before we conclude this successful season, I want to remind everyone that the applications for student advisor and for the state board members closes on April 30th. I will send out ballots to coaches soon after. Application is rather simple, just a cover letter and your brief resume. Please share with your passionate parent helpers and student leaders. Be the change you want to happen.
I want to thank all the volunteers and our host for making the season and the state tournament all possible. I hope the student’s testimony below (from the thank-you notes) resonates with all of us, and motivates us to contribute for the next year.
What Science Olympiad means to me: (Team B04, Student initial: JZ)
Science Olympiad is a way for me to discover new fields and potential careers that I would otherwise never consider. Through the various competitions I have attended, I have met so many amazing people, and learned so many fascinating topics. I know myself, as well as many of my fellow teammates have found inspiration, motivation, or even a future career through the STEM events Science Olympiad offers. Each competition brings together so many like-minded students with a passion for science, mathematics, and engineering. It is so motivating and rewarding, to be surrounded by people whose passion mirrors my own. Not only this, it has helped me so much with my personal growth. The Science Olympiad has taught me fundamental concepts like creating expectations for myself, organization, teamwork, and responsibility. I am so grateful for the Science Olympiad and all those who volunteer and run the competition. and can’t wait for what it will bring in future years. Thank you again for this truly amazing opportunity.
