Events List & Schedule
All Division B and Division C tournaments (Invitational, Regional, and State) in Washington state will follow the WSO Unified Schedule. Tournaments may add additional time blocks as needed to accommodate teams and their venue. A draft schedule for the season is typically posted in early October with opportunities for coaches to comment before it is finalized end of October.
This season two events—different from the national Rules Manual—will be scored as regular events in all regional and state tournaments: Sustainable Energy (Divisions B/C, replaces Wind Power) and Quantum Quandary (Division C only, additional event). Rules are linked.

Elementary Tournament
Southwest region is hosting a Division A (elementary) tournament on November 9, 2024 (9 AM – 12 PM) at Clark College (Vancouver, WA). Registration is limited to schools in the Southwest region. There will be a coaches clinic on September 28, 2024, for teams participating in the tournament. For details contact swwascioly@gmail.com.
Invitational Tournaments
All teams registering for an invitational tournament muster be registered with their state Science Olympiad (i.e. Washington Science Olympiad if you are in Washington State). Please check back regularly for registration links and new tournament information.

Regional Tournaments
Washington teams register with their geographic location. No more than 6 teams from one school may register prior to December 2; then on space-available basis, additional teams may register. Early registration is strongly encouraged for Northwest region teams as capacity may be limited. See the Registration page for deadlines and more details.
Numbers of teams advancing from each Regional Tournament to the State Tournament will be announced after the last Regional Tournament date. Please see our Policies page for how this number is calculated.
