Greetings, Science Olympiad coaches:
Regional and State update:
Most regional dates and locations are updated on Scilympiad and WSO website. Please make sure your teams know the critical dates! Thanks to the generous support by the Camas School District, we will host the state tournament at Camas High school for both B and C Divisions on April 17th.
We will host a WSO Satellite B Invitational in Feb, 2027. WA teams can sign up with a priority code prior to general team registration. https://scilympiad.com/wa-camas
Unified Schedule and Trial events:
The finalized schedule includes trial events Hydraulics (B/C), Game Agent (B), Protein Builder (B), Code Craze (C), and Quantum Supremacy (C). These events do not count in team scores at regional and state tournaments. The goal is to engage students in all aspects of the scientific endeavor and introduce them to new and challenging topics. Resources for these trials and Botany B/C are posted on https://washingtonscienceolympiad.com/resources.
Registration and team volunteer support
We plan to run all 23 events at regionals. However, we may end up not running all the events if (1) our host has limitations on space, prohibitive cost, or (2) there’s a lack of team event volunteers. It is important for each team to meet the volunteer requirement during the registration period. This helps us coordinate with our host to provide necessary space and support staff. Please refer to the registration checklist.
As with past years, we will invite the first-place winner (FPW) of each event to participate at the State tournament if their team did not advance. This applies to the trial events as well!
