Registration:
It is exciting to kick off a new Science Olympiad season in Washington State! The most recent update on tournament schedule and locations are published now on Scilympiad – Washington Science Olympiad. We will update both the state web site and Scilympiad as more information becomes available.
We will open the registration on Scilympiad between 09/18/2026 and 1/1/2027, with 01/15/2027 as the final deadline for registration (full payment). Team coaches (and coaches only) can register themselves now but you can only add new teams on Sept 18th. Secondly, we need more volunteers from schools to help with regional tournaments. The WSO board’s goal is to recruit new volunteers who can help WSO grow. Therefore, volunteering is a prerequisite for team registration. More details about registration and 2027 season are updated on the state website registration, with all coach communications under announcements. (Summary of changes linked here).

Coaches Workshops:
There’s a local workshop in the SW region for Elementary Science Olympiad coaches on September 26, 2026 from 8:30 to 11:30 am at Clark College. For more information, please contact swwascioly@gmail.com. This is for the Div-A coaches in the Southwest region only.
National Science Olympiad also provides online workshops, including a season kickoff webinar, which you can find on https://www.soinc.org/join/workshops.
